Police chase shootout, Texas State. *******************************************. Paducah, Texas state, United States, January 20, 2008 - Chief Deputy Rodriguez out on his normal patrol on Highway 83 five miles South of Paducah Texas, when he spotted what seemed to be a normal speeder. Dispatch radioed that they were having problems getting a return on the individual, so it would take a little longer than normal. With the experience Deputy Rodriguez has he knew something wasn't right about this stop. He proceeded to pull the individual out of the vehicle to talk to him, (since the individual was moving around and staring nervously thorough his rear view mirror at the Deputy). After getting the subject out the subject reaches in his pocket as Rodriguez tells him to keep his hands where he can see them, the guy pulls out a long knife and tried to cut the Deputy. *******************************************.
