WATCH IN HD. This is another brilliant map from Sereja here for SWBF1, this time it's Polar Express which is loosely based on the family film of the same name. |--| The map takes place on the train and despite this layout, the map is surprisingly big. There are plenty of carriages over which the battles span and lots of command posts for both sides. The battle can also extend to the rooftops of the carriages which showcases the fantastic 'moving train' effect that actually makes it seem like the entire map is moving along the rails. |--| As expected from a map of this nature, there is plenty of close quarters combat here and so don't expect to survive for long. |--| As with all of Sereja's maps there are tons of custom units and two new sides here on the Clone Wars era, but the map does also come with support for stock sides on the Galactic Civil War era. The new units are, to put it mildly, creative in order to fit Sereja's story of a paranormal force commandeering the Polar Express and have a side of action heroes come to investigate. The 'supernatural' side includes the zombie-like Splicers, Ghosts, Evil Snowmen and Alien Invaders all complete with new weapons such as Knives, the MP-40 Machine Gun, Ice Casters, Brain Parasites and Ray Guns. The 'adventurer' side is equally original with 1920s style passengers and soldiers armed with Tommy Guns, Flamethrowers and Revolvers. The coolest additions to this side are definitely Lara Croft and Indiana Jones who are armed with a Steam Gun and Winchester Shotgun, and the classic Bullwhip and Revolver (and yes, the Wunderwaffe again haha), respectively. Furthermore, a lot of the weapons on this map are chargeable by holding down the mouse button which is another awesome addition. |--| Overall this is another awesome and refreshingly wacky SWBF1 map from Sereja and it's always good to see my favourite Fedora-wearing, whip-wielding adventurer make an appearance.
