GPD XD DroidBox PlayON Portable Gaming Console Review

Here we are with the DroidBox PlayON Portable Gaming Console or GPD XD that features the quad core cpu Rockchip 3288, 2GB Ram and 32GB of Flash Storage with Android Kitkat 4.4.4 on a 5" IPS Display with HD Resolution and off course in a GamePad Form factor. I benchmarked the GPD XD with:. - Disk Speed Test, Antuntu, Geekbench 3, Network Speed Test, 3D Mark Score & Epic Citadel. Tested the GPD XD with:. - Big Buch Buny, Tears of Steal and Sintel Movies with H264 and H265 Codecs at 1080p resolutions. In terms of Android gaming platform the PlayON is capable of playing the most demanding games and the ones tested were Respawnables, Asphalt 8 Airborn, GT Racing 2, Real Racing 3D and the only game that at this moment was not able to be played was Asphalt 8 Airborn but that is not a hardware limitation, so its something that needs to be fixed on the App it self or on the Firmware. Also capable of Game Stream at 1080p resolution and 60FPS. Things I did Like The Most:. - IPS Display Angles with Nice Colours and Contrast. - Controllers feel nice and have a easy to change interface. - Nice Overall Performance. - Console Mode on HDMI up to 1080p. - Nice Game Streaming Experience on Device and on Console Mode. Things i Did Like The Least:. - No Bluetooth. - Need some small tweaks on Firmware or on some Aps. Hope you guys enjoy the video. All the Best. Roberto Jorge. CREDITS:. - Tears of steel used as test under CC 3.0 @.
