Amkov AMK100s Second Test Video Car (top down) sound + sunset test
It's a fun little camera, and I can definitely think of some uses for it especially considering the waterproof case, but the quality of the video and photos leaves a lot to be desired. Not exactly a technical assessment but I would think you need at least a 4K recording for a quality video after you stretch it to suit the fish-eye lens. I expect the Samsung 360 to be a hell of a lot better than this with its 30+ MP sensors (combined). Software:. The android software is functional but a bit buggy, ended up having to keep a copy of the APK on the phone as I had to keep uninstalling and re-installing it due to force closes (Samsung S6). FYI be sure and connect the wifi to the camera before running the app as this causes issues, the app tries to connect the wifi itself but from my experience this always fails. On the PC side, the Symax360 Video Converter does the job, but it isn't a pretty piece of software. There doesn't seem to be any PC software for editing / rendering the photos to a usable format. If you've found something or can suggest something please let me know. All in all, I'm happy, it's fun and for the price (I paid USD 120 on gearbest.
