In Modern Warfare 2, the ultranationalist Russian Federation gets revved up by a terrorist attack staged to look like America's doing. The next step is a full-scale Russian invasion of the American Eastern Coast because that's how geopolitics works. Russian planes bypass America's early warning system and before you know it Russian troops are parachuting into Northeastern Virginia and rolling tanks all over the suburbs. Worst of all, Russian forces have occupied fast food favourite Burger Town. Now where will America eat. That's still better than The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, which imagines a terrifying invasion of the States from above, in which old-timey G-men fend off space invaders in snap brim fedoras, like The X-Files crossed with Man Men.
